A. Explain the definition of the character according by the specialist ?

  • The definition of character often raised by specialist, including that cited by Abdul Majid (2010:11) Hornby & Parnwell (1972:49): "character is mental or moral qualities, moral strength, name or reputation. Hermawan Kertajaya (2010:3) defines character traits that are possessed by an object or individual. Characteristic is genuine and rooted in the personality or individual objects and is the driving engine how an act, behave, say, and respond. Meanwhile, according to psychologists, the character is a system of beliefs and practices that direct the actions of an individual. Therefore, if knowledge of a person's character can be known, it can be seen also how the individual will behave to certain conditions. From some understanding of the character of the above, it can be stated that the character is the quality or power of mental, moral, individual character is a special personality that differentiates it from other individuals. The character is also often associated with the term so-called temperament more emphasis on psychosocial definition associated with education and environmental context. While the character from the perspective of behaviorial more emphasis on the elements of a person from birth. Thus it can be said that the process of development on a person's character is influenced by many factors typical for the person in question is called congenital factor (nature) and environment (nurture) where that person grow and develop. Congenital factors can be said to be beyond the reach of communities and individuals to influence it. While environmental factors are within range of communities and individuals. So in the development or character education can be implemented by danindividu communities that are part of the environment.

~KEN AMADA~

Ken Amada is an elementary school student and the youngest human member of S.E.E.S. He uses a spear in battle to offset his small stature and lack of reach. Ken used the spear as a weapon in the fight caused a short body His Descendent Persona is Nemesis, experts in healing magics in which sometimes can be used to kill enemies.

Ken picked up by Ikutsuki and living in a dorm because he is an orphan who has no place to stay. He has the potential to call a Persona and asked to accompany the collection. In the first stage, Main Character and his friends believe that free S.E.E.S Ken came to help them, but the truth is far different intentions. Ken's mother who accidentally killed by Shinjiro in S.E.E.S mission, has provided the motive for Ken to "accompany" S.E.E.S revenge on Shinjiro to kill him.

On October 4th, 2007, Ken Amada witnessed the death of his mother in the back alley of    Port Island Station. The death was labelled an unexplained accident by local police; yet, in reality, Amada's mother was killed during an overzealous SEES operation.
In the pursuit of a rogue shadow, Castor, Shinjiro Aragaki's Persona, had lost control and killed Ken's mother. Ken would vow revenge on whomever was responsible, although the identity of the killer was left uncertain.

Nemesis
On August 24th, Ken overhears a conversation between Akihiko and Shinjiro at Iwatodai Station. Akihiko attempts yet again to convince Shinjiro to rejoin SEES by the prospect of the group's strength, its new members, and the addition of Koromaru. Failing to do so, Akihiko argues over Shinjiro's obsession with the death he caused years ago. Ken recognizes what occurence they speak of, and finally obtains the name of his mother's murderer. Four days later, Ken volunteers to join SEES. Upset, Akihiko, with Minato Arisato in tow, confronts Shinjiro and tells him the news. Realizing he had volunteered, Shinjiro officially rejoins SEES.

Over a month later, a full moon coincides with the anniversary of Ken's orphanhood. As the rest of the group pursues the shadows at Iwatodai Station, Ken requests that Shinji meet him in Port Island Station's back alley in secret. Shinjiro, realizing full well Ken's intentions, agrees.

With his spear to Shinjiro's face, Ken reveals his vow for revenge and his plan to kill him. Shinjiro agrees to his death, to Ken's shock, but exclaims how killing him will have Ken endlessly twinge in regret, much like he himself. Unconvinced, Takaya enters and shares two revelations: firstly, that Ken is planning a murder-suicide, and secondly, that Shinjiro is knowingly dying from the poisonous effects of the Persona suppressants he had been self-administering. This, in turn, upsets Ken even more, exclaiming that if Shinji was supposed to die anyway then he could not have his revenge, that it was "not fair." Takaya then fires a bullet at Shinjiro, demanding he tell him which SEES member has the detection ability. Ken interjects, lies, and says he himself does, prompting Takaya to shoot him as well. Shinjiro takes the bullet instead, and Takaya flees as the other club members arrive.

Ken weeps over his dying senpai. Shinjiro tells him to make his life his own and tells Akihiko to take care of him, before finally passing on, "this is how it should be."

AIGIS / AEGIS

Aigis is the 7th Generation Anti-Shadow SuppressionWeapon developed by the Kirijo Group. Unlike other characters, Aigis bears the distinction of using an exclusive 'Tactic' command, Orgia Mode, which increases her overall attack capabilities, at the cost of being immobile after using it. Her Persona is Palladion.

Aigis appears as an android with short, blond hair and dark blue eyes. Ikutski explains that her humanoid shape allows her to process thoughts like a human making it easier to handle a Persona. When she transfers and appears in the Gekkoukan High setting, she wears the generic female school uniform but retains her red ribbon except at the beach excursion in Yakushima, a brief school field trip in Kyoto (in which she wears a bathrobe) and the post-New Years day when she wears a kimono at the nearby shrine.

Her initial personality is simply to obey orders, although she is drawn to the Protagonist and begins breaking into his room at night to be with him. In November, she developed emotions, becoming compassionate and loyal to her friends, though she struggles to fully understand her new emotions. After awakening to the Wild Card, Aigis' personality further develops into her current personality of a sweet, gentle, empathetic and strong hearted young woman with a talent for leadership.

Aigis makes her first appearance in Yakushima, where members of S.E.E.S are enjoying their vacation. She appears to be looking out towards the ocean, where the protagonist, Junpei, and Akihiko are attracted by her beauty. The trio formulates a plan to flirt with her, only to fail. During the protagonist's encounter with her, parts of her memories are restored and Aigis escapes. She is later revealed to be an Anti-Shadow weapon developed by the Kirijo Group (much to Junpei and Akihiko's dismay), and also happens to be the final Anti-Shadow weapon still capable of functioning. Ikutsuki later assigned her to S.E.E.S as a member, and she enrolls in Gekkoukan High to act as the protagonist's bodyguard.

Throughout the game, Aigis shows an instinctive interest in protecting the protagonist, an interest which even she cannot explain. As the story progresses, she begins to question her existence, human lives, and her role in life. When Ryoji Mochizuki transfers to Gekkoukan High, she becomes hostile to the transfer student, and warns the protagonist not to get near Ryoji.

Palladion
After the the twelfth shadow's defeat, Aigis is reprogrammed by Ikutsuki to lure members of S.E.E.S to Tartarus. Ikutsuki reveals his plans for succeeding Mitsuru's grandfather's wish: to awaken the thirteenth arcana that was never meant to be, Death. Under Ikutsuki's programming, Aigis is forced to subdue members of S.E.E.S and is then ordered to kill them as a sacrifice to awaken Death. However, Aigis can't bear to kill the protagonist, and begins to fight back Ikutsuki's reprogramming. It is her strong desire to protect that saves the protagonist. However, Takeharu Kirijo is killed by Ikutsuki.

During her battle with Ryoji on the Moonlight Bridge, Aigis regains the memories trapped in her damaged circuits. The player learns that ten years before the game, her mission was to defeat or seal away Death so that the coming of Nyx would be averted. Since she was unable to defeat Death, she sealed the entity away in a young boy who was the sole survivor of a nearby car crash. That young boy was the protagonist. She is driven to protect him both to try and suppress Death and because she feels a great deal of guilt over her actions. Since Ryoji is an incarnation of Death, she senses that he is her natural enemy.

Aigis is damaged during her fight with Ryoji and must be repaired by the Kirijo Group. When she returns, she requests of the protagonist to kill Ryoji, as she believes that a robot who failed her motives is a failure itself. Aigis remarks that as a robot, she cannot feel, and thus cannot even shed a tear for the others. The party comforts her, saying she already shows more human-like qualities and emotions, and is slowly becoming more human. Taking her friends' words to heart, Aigis's resolution is strengthened, and she decides to stand against the power of Nyx with her friends in S.E.E.S. She is the only one who remembers Tartarus, the Dark Hour, and the protagonist's sacrifice during his borrowed month of life after the defeat of Nyx. She allows him to live like a normal student for the few precious weeks that he has. Then, on Graduation Day, she holds the protagonist as he drifts into his final sleep, and swears that she will live her life protecting him.

AKIHIKO SANADA

Akihiko Sanada is a senior along with Mitsuru Kirijo and Shinjiro Aragaki who attend Gekkoukan High School. He is also one of the original co-founding members of the SEES, a group of persona-users who dedicate their lives to fighting Shadows. Always appearing calm on the outside, he is full of passion on the inside. Akihiko is also the captain of the boxing team, as well as a great academic student who dedicates his daily life to physical training. He uses hand-worn weapons like gloves and knuckles in battle. His initial Persona Polydeuces, both specializing in thunder magic and debuff spells.

Polydeuces
Akihiko grew up with Shinjiro Aragaki when they met each other at an orphanage. But then, one night, Akihiko lost his sister, Miki in a fire. Since then, he dedicated his life to training so that he can be strong enough to protect others, since he believed he failed to save Miki. When the main character's persona awakens for the first time, Akihiko cannot participate in battle for the first weeks of the game due to fighting a giant shadow while injuring himself in the process. As soon as he gets back up and recovers from his injuries, he joins the party in the fight against the Shadows. Akihiko also is a long-time friend of Shinjiro Aragaki, who quit SEES a long time ago. However, Shinjiro rejoins SEES along with its new members after Ken Amada decides to join as well.

Later in the game, it is revealed that two years ago, Mitsuru, Akihiko, and Shinjiro were fighting Shadows during the Dark Hour. On one fateful night, Shinjiro lost control of his persona, leading to the death of a woman bystander in the area. The woman happened to be Ken Amada's mother. Akihiko later figures out that Ken only joined SEES so that he can get his revenge on Shinjiro after what he did. Akihiko decided to prevent them from killing each other. The other SEES members cannot seem to find Ken and Shinjiro, but they could not take that as their priority mission because they had to defeat one of the twelve Arcana Shadows first. After defeating the Shadow, they immediately set out to look for them, with Akihiko absent during the fight, who went ahead. Ken invited Shinjiro to the same spot his persona lost control and killed Ken's mother. There, Akihiko and the others found them, with Shinjiro mortally wounded from Takaya's bullet. Takaya attempted to kill both Ken and Shinjiro, but Shinjiro used his own body as a shield to protect Ken.
Shinjiro, Koromaru, & Akihiko

Akihiko was devastated by the loss of his best friend. But he realized that Shinjiro's death wasn't a waste, and in turn gave Akihiko the courage and the strife to never give up the fight against the Shadows, and must face his fears head-on. He participated in the final battle against Nyx, and SEES was successful in saving the world from The Fall.

JUNPEI IORI

Chidori & Junpei
Junpei first appears in Persona 3, as he becomes the main character's best friend throughout the events that unfold during the game. A class clown in school, his character is always associated with comic relief  in the game, as he is also somewhat of a pervert and usually gets slapped by Yukari. He constantly plays video games and doesn't pay attention to his schoolwork at all. His Persona mirror his own abilities as they are based mostly of physical attacks.

Found crying in a convenience store during the Dark Hour, Junpei was extended an invitation from  Akihiko to join the SEES group, which he immediately accepted. Junpei never really had a reason for fighting when he first joins SEES. He thought defeating Shadows during the Dark Hour is just like some kind of game. He really wanted his friends to look up to him as the true leader, instead of Minato, but he later began to realize that he just isn't cut out for it. He becomes jealous at the main character (Minato) because of his unique persona ability, the Wild Card. There were times where he questions his own purpose for fighting, and he found it when he met Chidori. a member of Strega. They first meet when Junpei was observing her sketching by herself.

Hermes
At first she views him as weird and annoying, but because of Junpei's persistence to get to know her, they start talking. But Junpei is completely unaware that she is a member of Strega. When Chidori ends up at the hospital after a full moon incident she still hated the rest of the SEES members, except Chidori. Junpei tries to talk to her. At first, it does not go well, but his recent visits bring about a personality change within Chidori. She tells Junpei that she did not fear or care for anything until they both met. Eventually, they fall in love with each other as the story progresses. This also leads to Chidori questioning where her loyalties lie; to Takaya, or Junpei. On a full moon, Chidori fights the SEES members and they defeat her. When Junpei tries to stop her, Strega shows up, and Takaya shoots Junpei. As Junpei is about to die, Chidori suprises everyone by bringing him back to life, as it it her persona's special ability. Before she dies, she tells Junpei that she doesn't fear death anymore because she can live inside him, and be together forever (this explains Trismegistus' special ability, Spring of Life). This tragic event triggers a huge change in Junpei's character. After Chidori's tragic death, he loses his will to keep fighting. He questions his own purpose of fighting Shadows; why he wants to fight, and why he does not have a very good reason to do so. But seeing Chidori's sketchbook, which contained detailed and well-done portraits of Junpei, he gains a great reason to keep fighting.

MITSURU KIRIJO

Mitsuru is the only daughter of Kirijo chairman, Takeharu Kirijo. Mitsuru is also the best students in the school, in addition to being president of the student council. If in a fight using swords Mitsuru light rapier or sword as a weapon. Her initial persona is Penthesilea and her ultimate persona is Artemisia, in which she specializes in ice attacks and healing magic. Mitsuru is of the Empress Arcana Social Link. She later joins the party in battle, with Fuuka Yamagishi replacing her as the permanent support for the rest of the game.

Penthesilea
Mitsuru is the president of student council in Gekkoukan High School, as well as the school's senior valedictorian. Besides her high intelligence and status, her family's group, the Kirijo Group, owns the school, as well as the island that it is established in. In the beginning, Mitsuru keeps secrets to herself about Tartarus and the Dark Hour. But later on, she reveals to the new SEES members that somehow she has been connected to the origins of the Dark Hour and Tartarus, as well as the mysterious Shadows, the main enemies of the game. Her grandfather was involved, as well as the sponsor for the project of studying Shadows and to figure out how to use their power. But somehow, the experiments got out of control, and the Shadows and Dark Hour were born from it. Mitsuru's grandfather and the rest of the scientists involved in the project (Yukari's father with them) were believed to have died. This project was actually being conducted from within Gekkoukan High School. After the accident, Gekkoukan High constantly turns into Tartarus during the Dark Hour. Mitsuru believed that it was her sole responsibility to redeem her family name and that guilt drives her to keep fighting and, maybe someday, make the Shadows disappear forever. SEES was also sponsored by Shuji Ikutsuki, the chairman of the board. He believed defeating the twelve main shadows that show up during full moon phases, will make Tartarus, Dark Hour and of course the shadows disappear.
